Category Lead Suitsupply Women's

    As Category Lead Suitsupply Women's you develop and execute a vision and a strategy for the Women's Category Team at Suitsupply. You will be responsible for leading a cross-functional team and also for implementing best practices for buying, merchandising, planning, allocation, custom made and online merchandising, with the aim to allow our customers to not just fit in but find their own perfect fit. You think from a customer's perspective, while simultaneously keeping our brand's interests in mind.

    Your typical day includes, but is not limited to:

    • Lead competition, trend and market analysis to develop new product, regional and channel strategies.
    • Ensure category strategy is executed according to plan by aligning buying, planning, allocation, online merchandise, design, store development and stores.
    • Drive a cross-functional team to ensure key buying and production milestones in the go to market calendar are met. E.g. Post seasonal analysis, design brief, collection build up, ordering and negotiation, production planning.
    • Drive the business commercially through; weekly trade meetings, ensuring the communication plan is commercial and appropriate and reacting to trends in-season through repeat orders, order adjustments and stock transfers (inter- and intra-regional).
    • Focus on product and customer ensuring we deliver the best quality at the best price for our customer.
    • Be the face of the category / overall point person to the; board, stores and the wider business. Present category strategy and new assortments at the seasonal range presentations.

    This job might be for you if you have:

    • 10+ years of experience in womenswear merchandising (Buying, planning, design).
    • 5+ years managing / leading a team. Ability to Coach and mentor, having strong leadership skills.
    • Proactive with a track record of developing and executing customer focused product strategies that elevate our brand, build customer loyalty and are financially viable.
    • Analytical mindset and ability to synthesize data from multiple different sources.
    • Relationship management skills- both internal and external, able to negotiate while building strong, long term sustainable partnerships.
    • Expertise in assortment planning and range development.
    • Knowledge of vertical product management / development.
    • Strong sense of style and deep awareness of womenswear trends.
    • A passion for (women's) tailoring and fashion.
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
