Software Engineering Manager

    Your challenge as our new Software Engineering / Software Development Manager will be to simplify our IT landscape and increase velocity of the teams. We are making a shift from the start-up mentality to more maturity and we need you to help us scale up the IT teams and create a vision of our long-term IT roadmap.

    Your typical day includes:

    • Coaching, developing and guiding the IT teams while enabling them to be self-supporting and autonomous with little to no hierarchy
    • Ensuring development teams are delivering quality software products
    • Increasing the team velocity; setting up of personal development plans and facilitating technical growth and knowledge sharing over teams
    • Working together with the other Engineering Managers and the CTO Helping to set up the long-terms IT roadmap vision and strategy

    This job might be for you if you have:

    • Several years of experience in managing/steering Agile teams of 5+ engineers
    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or solid hands-on experience as a developer with remarkable career growth
    • Technical background and a knowledge of coding in more than 2 languages in an Agile environment (This role doesn't require hands-on coding)
    • Track record in line management (letting people grow or go) of autonomous development teams and delivering high-quality software
    • Experienced working in international environment; able to discuss non-technical subjects

    Your success will be measured by:

    • Steering 3 autonomous high performing teams, raising the bar by increasing the velocity of the teams
    • Hiring high potential graduates - One per team
    • Delivering high-quality software and creating a plan to make it even better
    • Simplify too complex technical legacy
